2LP on clear/green vinyl in gatefold sleeve, limited to 500 copies
Alas My Love, The Bony King Of Nowhere's critically acclaimed debut album, was released in 2009. As it was only released on CD at the time, the record now finally gets its first release on vinyl in 12 years.
Today more than ever, the intriguing universe shaped by then 22-year-old Bram Vanparys alongside producer Koen Gisen sounds fresh and alluring. Back then the album was often referred to as an acoustic sibling of Radiohead. Today, other names come to mind such as Andy Shauf or Big Thief, while its quirkiness sometimes recalls the work of Aldous Harding.
The deluxe gatefold 2LP edition includes a series of beautiful pictures, personal liner notes and the original album on disc one, as well as a selection of home recordings Vanparys made between 2006 and 2008 on disc two. This second LP, aptly titled The Land Of The Bony King Of Nowhere, also reveals a previously unreleased track called Valley On A Planet. Next to the 12 demos, this selection also includes a 2009 live version of Losing Gravity.
