Jeru The Damaja
Kendrick Jeru Davis or Jeru the damaja, a rapper from East New-York first showcased his unique rhymestyle to audiences on "I'm the Man", a track from Gang Starr's 1992 album Daily Operation. The following year he released his first single "Come Clean" which was produced by DJ Premier and became an underground hit.
Jeru's first solo album, "The Sun Rises in the East" is seen as a Golden Era Hip Hop classic Entirely produced by the legendary beatmaker DJ Premier from Gang Starr's group.
