Bertrand Belin is a master singer and master guitarist, who has established a reputation and could have filed patents. He has a style and deep obsessions, but also the desire to stay moving, to never stagnate in a formula. Cap Waller (his fifth album) is a new horizon for Bertrand Belin, where he reinvents his music in bursts of sharp and sensual, burning guitars, launched like hypnotic lightning.
Cape Waller does not exist on any map. But we can imagine that the Breton Belin followed the coast towards the South, to an imaginary Africa, towards these borders where the desert meets the Atlantic. A golden, sunny, swaying album, whose songs aim for dance and love, the pulsation of the foot that beats the rhythm, or that of the moved heart.
Since Parcs and before Cap Waller, Bertrand Belin has built a lot, and allowed himself to be invited into the works of other builders. He published his first novel, Requin chéz P.O.L, acted as an actor-musician in the theater in Spleenorama by Marc Lainé, and in Low/Heroes by Renaud Cojo, and also composed the music for the film Zouzou by Blandine Lenoir.
Bertrand Belin continues to explore his archipelago. He discovered Cape Waller: a valuable perspective on the world.
