Jan Van den Broeke

I’ve been playing and composing music since the 1980s.

Back then, I was an angry young man (or was I incertain?) - now I’m older and wiser, but the intensity has never diminished.

THE MISZ was an unconventional synthwave band, put up by Dries Dekocker and me around 1983.

ABSENT MUSIC was my private minimal-wave-and-other-experiment-like project until 1988.

JUNE11 put me back on track in the 21st century, combining ambient and song, silence, engagement and zeal.

APRIL & JUNE was the acoustic live band between 2012 and 2017, put up for the pleasure of playing with the easiest means.

CANTO DE MUDO was an occasional project with music and video, set up with Philippe Van Keymeulen, Helena Legaz and Anneleen De Causmaecker in 2019.  

HOUT/WOOD is a live project with intimate acoustic songs, set up with Hilde De Clercq
